The Western Cape is excited to welcome you all to the 2017 Rover Moot – Cape Town, to be held at our Zandvlei Sea Scout Base in Lakeside, Cape Town from 27 November to 1 December. Of course, this will be an adventure taking you all far and wide – so don’t miss out!
2017 is the 99th year of global Rovering – and as we look ahead to the new century of Rovering, it is important to reflect on the past 100 years of heritage that have brought us to this point. Thus, the 2017 Moot is going to be a celebration of the things that make our Crews unique, the things that we have learned and strived for and the adventures that have taken Rovering from the battlefields of WW1 Europe, to the furthest tip of Africa. However, as we look back at the past, we also get to look forward to the future – the greatest adventure of all!
Come to Cape Town and experience the beginnings of that new Rovering adventure. Be part of the fellowship, fun and camaraderie that will take us from the top of Table Mountain to the waves of False Bay. And through this fellowship, let’s all grow so that Rovering in SA can have another 100 years of Service!
We look forward to having you all join us! Please plan ahead, we know that leave and the expenses are difficult things to organize at the last minute – we don’t want anyone to miss out!
