The first term is always a busy one in the Western Cape. We are seeing phenomenal growth in the Southern Cape (Outeniqua) District and are encouraged by the growth on the West Coast where we will soon be appointing a DC in the newly formed District. We have had four Meerkat Dens open in the first quarter and three more lined up to open in April. You can see how healthy our nursery is becoming!
The first term saw our first Meerkat Mob Day, Cub Fun Day, LDC1 and LDC2, and Scout Rayner Trophy. Scouting in Schools reached new heights this year, with us registering 3600 Yebo scouts in the Region.
Read about all of this and more in this term’s edition of Western Cape Scouter:
Western Cape Scouter – March 2024
Western Cape Scouter – past editions
As always, your Meerkat, Cub, Scout, Rover and other scouting articles are most welcome. The closing date for the next Western Cape Scouter is Friday, 28 June 2024.
