Join the JML Rotary Scout keelboat sailing programme

Join the JML Rotary Scout keelboat sailing programme and get qualified to fulfil your sailing dreams!

All scouts and scouters are invited to join SCOUTS South Africa’s exciting keelboat sailing programme which will launch the enthusiastic sailor into a lifetime of yachting. JML Rotary Scout is the perfect training vessel and is equipped for both local waters and blue-water sailing, providing an ideal platform to learn everything you need to know to become a successful sailor. First you will earn your Competent Crew certificate – the passport to becoming a crew member on any local yacht, after which you can take your sailing to the next level and get to do your Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper’s tickets. The yacht takes part in numerous expeditions and races throughout the year and as a regular crew member you will get to participate in some of these adventures with unforgettable memories.

JML Rotary Scout has arrived back after completing yet another transatlantic trip after competing in her third Cape to Rio race and will soon be ready for the next Competent Crew course.

The Competent Crew course starts on 6 – 7 May 2017 – contact us NOW by emailing brian.goemans@gmail.com to enquire or book your place!
