It’s the annual VWS Open Day 2017, at the Newlands Fire Base in Newlands Forest on the 25th November 2017 from 9am till 4pm.

Please join the VWS for a FUN-FILLED FAMILY DAY as we demonstrate our fire-fighting skills and raise awareness about #wildfires (along with our base partner, TMNP)

Come and take part in the activities for all kids (adult ‘kids’ as well). There will be abseiling, snake displays, firefighting equipment, fire truck rides, tug-of-war, indoor and outdoor exhibitions, helicopters and the best dressed fire-kid competition. The thrilling helicopter and firefighting displays will be followed by an end of day foam party!

There will also be food stalls to help you keep the hunger at bay while having a great time. Also, some cool merchandise and awesome kids firefighting toys on sale.
