2nd Somerset West Akela Carol Mackay recently handed over a donation of solar lamps to the Hawequas Scout Adventure Centre on behalf of Ardagh Glass (Consol Glass). The donated solar lamps will enable Scouting members and school groups alike to continue their activities despite ongoing load shedding.

The Hawequas Adventure Centre provides an outdoor environment for learning, exploration and personal growth. Activities enable young people to develop an appreciation for the environment, to understand the importance of conservation and to understand the impact their own actions have on the world in which they live.
