The Sea Scout Base is an active Sea Scout base with excellent facilities for water activities, and close to major False Bay beaches.

The base is equipped with ideal facilities and caters for large or small groups of visitors. Numerous international Scout and Guide Groups have visited the Base and their impressions have all been favourable.

The base is well used by Sea Scouts Groups for activities and training courses. It (z is also the venue for the annual Kon-Tiki raft building competition, the biggest annual event held in the Western Cape.

Accommodation includes a bunk house with twenty bunks and its own galley for cooking, a camping facility (The Point) for Troop or Patrol camps. Most Sea Scout groups have a boat shed at the base, fitted out with bunks.

The Neville Coxon Hall is ideal for functions and can seat 100 people for a dinner with space for dancing. There is a large braai area as well as a gaming area for games such as volleyball, etc. The base kitchen is directly attached to the hall with a serving hatch, equipped with an industrial stove, refrigerator, chip fryers, food warmers, large preparation and serving area.

The base has separate hot/cold water showers and toilets for girls and boys.
