Earth Hour is the world’s largest grassroots environmental campaign. Today on #worldwaterday, we are calling on our members to spend an hour making sure that you are prepared and safe when exploring and enjoying the beauty of our seas, rivers, lakes, and dams.

That’s right, this year SCOUTS South Africa’s National Challenge is all about knowing how to be water safe. So how about being thrifty with your time (pun intended 😊) and #GiveAnHourForEarth by running one of the ‘Be Water Safe’ programmes with your Meerkats, Cubs, or Scouts. If you are a Rover, you can spend an hour teaching our younger members all about how to be safe and what to do in an emergency!
