The 2026 Meerkat, Cub, Scout, Rover, and Group Star Awards Guidelines are officially out!
The Star Awards Recognition Programme is an important tool that helps recognise and celebrate Scout Groups that are meeting the core aims of SCOUTS South Africa, while also supporting continuous growth and development across our Branches.
More than just an award, the Star Awards provide Scout Group Leaders and District Commissioners with a valuable self-evaluation and management framework to identify strengths, highlight areas where support may be needed, and ensure a well-rounded Scouting experience for every young person.
The assessment considers activities completed throughout the year and supports the delivery of quality Scouting that enables skills development in line with the SCOUTS SA Strategy 1-2-3.
We encourage all Meerkat Dens, Cub Packs, Scout Troops, Rover Crews and Scout Groups to familiarise themselves with the updated 2026 guidelines as they continue to offer impactful Scouting nationwide.
