Upton Shield 2026

The long-awaited Upton Shield for 2026 was held on 19 July, bringing together 54 teams of junior Scouts for a hike in the Constantia Alphen green belt and surrounding area. The original event in May was postponed due to a severe weather warning, and although the July event turned out to be quite rainy, conditions were certainly safer than during the storm in May! The Scout teams hiked to various bases to challenge their teamwork, initiative, and Scouting skills. This year’s trophy was won by 2nd Bergvliet Sea Scouts. Well done to all the participants, and thank you to chief judge Robbie Schreiber and team!
