Sad news of a tragic accident

We regret to advise that Daniel Amann, a 17 year old Scout from 1st Camps Bay passed away tragically early on Saturday morning 27th August. Daniel was an avid photographer and it appears that Daniel was electrocuted in the vicinity of False Bay station whilst taking photographs, although cause of death is still to be confirmed.

Daniel was a Springbok Scout candidate having completed most of the tasks required to achieve this award. He had been with the Camps Bay troop since turning 11 and was an active member and leader in the troop.

Daniel is survived by his mother – Marianne – who resides in Sea Point, and his Dad who resides in Austria.

We express our sincere condolences and our sympathy, thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and 1st Camps Bay Scout Group.
