Founder’s Day is our annual get together in Western Cape region where we recognise the achievements of our Meerkats, Cubs, Scouts, Rovers and Adults. This year’s event was held on Sunday 23 February and began with a colourful flag parade and included the creation of a time capsule, presentations of letters to Gold Star Meerkats and Leaping Wolf Cubs, two Wood Badges, Star Awards, and the Tonkin Trophy, won by 1st Durbanville. Despite technical sound problems, all had a fun time. The morning ended with train rides on the amazing miniature trains of the Western Province Live Steamers.
