Kon-Tiki 2025 took place from 11 to 13 April at the Sea Scout Base with the theme “Dreamworks”.
The main event is of course the Kon-Tiki Raft Competition. Construction began on Friday and went on late into the night, then and continued on Saturday. Rainy Saturday weather could not dampen the enthusiasm of the 21 raft crews of Scouts and Rangers who launched their rafts to spend 24 hours afloat on Sandvlei, completing various challenges throughout the weekend. Congratulations to 1st Bergvliet for winning the overall Neville Coxon Trophy for the Kon-Tiki Raft competition, and to 2nd Bergvliet for coming second and 1st Durbanville for coming third.
