Raft and Fringe Entries:
Both raft and fringe entries are to go directly through HQ. Please note that both competitions need to be entered separately using different entry forms.
Paid entries should be submitted to [email protected] on or before the closing date – 22 March 2026. For timeous completion there will be a 5-point bonus towards the competition score. Please see the entry forms attached.
Kon-Tiki Raft:
Cost per team: R780 (teams of 6 scouts)
Closing date: 22 March 2026
Kon-Tiki Fringe:
Cost per team: R270 (teams of 5-10 scouts)
Closing date: 22 March 2026
NB Fringe Entries:
Troops that do not enter a raft team may still enter a fringe team. Preference to troops with raft teams will be given.
Troops may enter up to 3 fringe teams, however, all fringe teams should be led by a competent scout, with guidance from Scouters where necessary.
Campsites
Campsites for sleeping over at Kon-Tiki will cost in the region of R330 each and must be booked via the Sea Scout Base ([email protected]).
Cub and Brownie Activities
Please be aware that the Cub and Brownie competition will be taking place separately and additional information will be sent out via their channels.
Adult Event
The Bob Bell competition will not be held this year. However, we are excited to introduce a new parent event! More details to follow.
Scouters Sign up form:
In order to run this competition smoothly, we need lots of scouters to give up a bit of their time to help with judging. Please consider helping and asking others to help too!
Reminder: Troops with a raft team are requested to contribute a minimum of 12 judging hours across the duration of the Kon-Tiki weekend. Raft points are awarded for this contribution. 
For each fringe team, troops are requested to fulfill one judging slot during the fringe competition. IE: 3 fringe teams are required to fulfill 3 judging slots.
Vehicle Application Form:
Will be sent to the relevant email addresses one week before the competition.
